Hey Carrot, I’ve been following your blog, and a few others since the beginning. Callahan’s has come up a few times in the various PCT blogs. I’ve been long distance driving for 15 years, and have passed Callahan’s umpteen million times, but never stopped.
Two days ago, I finally pulled out there (just for drinks and a snack before adding some miles). I asked about hikers coming through, and they even directed me to the PCT log book. I looked for your name, but I wasn’t sure which dates you were there, if at all. But when I got to my motel room that night in Dunsmuir, I checked your blog, and you were actually filling in the part where you got to Callahans! Then, today, you mentioned it again.
Plate O’ shrimp?
Thanks for giving new meaning to all the miles I drive between L.A. and Astoria, Oregon. Now I wonder when I look up into all those hills and mountains…there are people up there!?
I read a lot of interesting articles here. Probably you spend
a lot of time writing, i know how to save you a lot of time, there is an online
tool that creates high quality, google friendly posts in seconds, just type in google – laranitas
