I love this blog Carrot, I look forward to reading it every day. I have been reading you for a long time, since your train blogs. You are an amazing writer. Thank you. ~Denise
Thank you Denise!! That means a lot.
These posts of yours are such an inspiration. I can’t hike the trail because I’m slightly crippled, but I am intrigued by all these trail angels that are a part of this.
Well before I even knew about you or the PCT, my husband and I were looking into buying a trailer and hitting the road. And just this week our lives have taken an unexpected turn where we might actually do just that.
We may visit some of the trail angel sites to see what that’s all about and maybe find a way to become trail angels ourselves.
Until then, I will live vicariously through your posts! Cheers!
I was wondering how your body would change and adapt to miles of hiking with a pack for months. Interesting to hear even after eating a lot your losing body fat. From your writing it seems you are eating a lot, but maybe you just enjoy food more because your body needs it for fuel to keep on hiking. Happy hiking to you!
Your PCT blog is so inspiring, I plan on thru-hiking it in 2016. That’s awesome that you worked at Breitenbush Hot Springs, I love that place!
