My course on thru-hiking the PCT is almost here- here’s the syllabus!

There are still a few spots available! Click here for the full details, or to sign up.

Here’s some info on how this course works, plus the syllabus!

-Step one: you buy a ticket via eventbrite, here.

-Step two: you create a free account at teachable.com – this is where the course will be!

-Each Saturday in January starting January 4th, a weeks’ worth of content will be released to you on teachable.com. The content is a mix of video, written documents and homework. Once the content is released you’ll have access to it forever, and you can complete it at your own pace.

-Each Friday at 6pm PST there will be a live Q&A. This is where you can ask any questions you still have about the weeks’ topics. If you aren’t able to attend the Q&A, you can email me your questions in advance. A recording of the Q&A will be available afterward.

The course syllabus is as follows:

Week one: gear, training, permit

Week two: how to plan your resupply, calories, dietary restrictions, stove or no stove

Week three: navigation, what to expect in each section of the PCT (desert hiking, the high sierra, what to do when the cold rain comes in Washington), budget

Week four: itinerary, how to prevent and manage injuries and health issues on trail, creating content

Space in this course is going fast- sign up here. And feel free to email me with any questions at carrotquinn4@gmail.com !
