The Colorado Trail continues to be well-maintained and dreamy. I float down it all day, through forests of quaking aspen (when will they change colors?) and over a series of gentle passes. It rained all night last night; I slept wonderfully. I finish an audiobook. I eat the last of my food, don’t make it into Twin Lakes, which is a cluster of buildings right on trail, in time for store hours, and eat the tiniest bit of instant beans for dinner. I stealth camp on a hilltop just outside of town beneath the almost-full moon, which reflects off the ripples in the lake.
