To say that there’s very little reception in this section. So if you don’t see a post for a few days, don’t worry! They’ll arrive soon! Also this section is super long and brutally hot, with 20 mile stretches between water sources- the Mojave’s last hurrah! but I am hiking with other people again, real humans! And they are wonderful, gregarious, good-natured creatures, and everything is hilarious forever and ever. More soon I promise!!

Are these the people who were a day ahead of you? Did you catch up?
I had a dream that you were calling me and you needed my help, but my phone kept dropping our voice calls. So then you started texting me, but in some sort of hieroglyphics that would only flash on my screen for a split second. It was one of those dreams that was so real, I woke up in a panic, feeling all worried that you needed my help. Weird!
Even though it was just a dream, I’m actually quite relieved to see that you posted today!

I have enjoyed reading your blog and seeing your photos over the last weeks. Your writing style is very compelling and I find myself coming back to hear more. It was interesting to read your companions blogs as well to see the different takes on each section. I am heading to Yosemite in a week and heading south on the JMT so perhaps we will cross paths. If not, I will have to catch up on your journey when I return. Thanks for sharing.
