  1. I’m glad to see you made it through the sandstorm. I live in Victorville and I could not even see my hand in front of my face yesterday so I know how “fun” hiking in it must have been. Thanks for keeping us updated.

  2. Where do you come up with such wonderful writing!? “The showers, it turns out, are special magic showers descended straight from heaven.” Thanks you!

  3. It’s great to be able to follow you on your adventure, you have already covered a lot of miles. Your writing and the pictures you post bring your adventure alive for us to enjoy!

  4. I hiked the trail eight years ago, and I still think about it every day. I supported your Kickstarter because I like your writing and I had this feeling that you would love the PCT. I enjoy your posts, and I know how hard it is to keep a detailed journal while hiking, enjoying the trail and the people you meet, and trying to get enough food and sleep. Happy trails, and thank you for making the effort to keep this blog going.

  5. Cannot wait for the 24 hour blog challenge! The question is how many times will I hit refresh for a new post??? Awesome blog. Enjoy your hike 🙂

  6. Your musing about and then the experience of the actual shower were breathtakingly wonderful. Thank you for bringing such a literate description of trail life.

  7. Gatorade Gatorade Gatorade. Shower shower shower. You have perfectly captured a hiker’s thoughts. I’ve spent entire afternoons thinking about just hamburgers or cold Gatorade. Over and over and over again. It’s a kind of exquisite mental torture you can’t help but inflict on yourself.
