.
I just got home from dancing and I should be going to bed but I wanted to tell you
two of my friends just started blogs! ! ! ! !
They are both interesting and unique and special people with interesting and unique and special perspectives and though their posts (as of yet) may be few, the internet is richer for having them.
Jose is my housemate, we go gay country line dancing, his blog is just sayin’
Jasper is a good friend now far away, in the ozarks, cutting the toes off insects for a living and missing the gays, his blog is antiquated expressions of desire
and I suggest that you bookmark them both.
hey ms quinn.
david f ford here, director of the main street museum in white river jct vermont.
have been reading your blog for a little while and am deeply moved and impressed.
we are having a hobo/tramp symposium up here this spring, the 2nd and 4th weeks of may and wonder if you could attend, and read at any time during this period. i know its something of a jaunt from OR to VT, but i am a fan of yours and would be honored to have you attend.
the symposium will cover riding the rails, tramps lives and stories and will include a hobo film festival and live music by local and new orleans street/hobo bands. a real interesting mix of people are coming to town for these shindigs. and over all, im really thinking that its all going to be fabulous.
your blog about freight riding and that scary crane really would fit into this extravaganza.
anyway, we have transportation money and an honorarium for you if you can make this happen. we also can arrange local accommadations for your stay.
i can fill you in on more details, if you think this is a possibility.
hoping to hear back from you, –dff
